CRTEWU Hosts Seminar on Sustainable Campuses with Smart IoT

The Center for Research and Training of East West University (CRTEWU) organized an insightful research seminar titled “Transforming Campus Sustainability: Leveraging Smart IoT Devices for Energy-Efficient Green Ecosystem” on July 10, 2025. The event was held at the CRTEWU Seminar Room at East West University (EWU).

The seminar featured a comprehensive presentation by a team of distinguished faculty members from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at East West University. The presenters included Dr. Raihan Ul Islam, Associate Professor; Dr. Mohammad Rifat Ahmmad Rashid, Associate Professor; M. Saddam Hossain Khan, Senior Lecturer; and Mr. Rashedul Amin Tuhin, Senior Lecturer. Their presentation focused on the transformative potential of smart IoT devices in creating more energy-efficient and sustainable campus environments.

Following the presentation, Professor Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza, Dean, Faculty of Sciences and Engineering, East West University, served as the key discussant, offering valuable commentary and insights. The seminar concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, allowing attendees to delve deeper into the presented topics.

The event was chaired by Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor, EWU. Professor Dr. Md. Sohel Rana, Executive Director of CRTEWU, was also in attendance, alongside numerous faculty members, students, and officials from CRTEWU, highlighting the university's commitment to fostering cutting-edge research and promoting sustainable practices.
